SRISAILAM RIGHT BRANCH CANAL PACKAGE VII

The Company was also chosen for the prestigious Srisailam Right Branch Canal work involving earthwork excavation, Lining and construction of structures from Km. 53.355 to Km. 67.000 at Nandyal in Andhra Pradesh. The work involved 24.00 lakh cums of earthwork excavation which includes about 13.00 lakh cums. of rock excavation in a very highly abrasive rock 3.22 lakh sq.m. of lining 1.7 lakh cums of cement concrete 1.67 lakh cum of embankment and 25 Nos. of different types of structures including single lane and double lane bridges. It is note worthy that the Company achieved an impressive progress of 75,000 cu.m. of hard rock excavation in the very first month of commencing the work against scheduled 25,000 cu.m. In addition, it has achieved a progress of 9.46 lakh cu.m. of earthwork in year 1991 - 92 and 1.12 lakh cu.m. of Concrete and 1.02 lakh sq.m. of concrete lining in the year 1992 - 93. The momentum was kept up and the Project was completed 7 months ahead of the schedule.
