SRISAILAM RIGHT BRANCH CANAL PACKAGE - VI

The prestigious World Bank aided SRBC project was executed by Prasad & Co involving earthwork excavation, formation of embankment and construction of structures from Km 38.00 to 50.91 at Nandyal in Andhra Pradesh which is the biggest contract then for the Andhra Pradesh Irrigation Department. The work involved 23.60 lakh cu. m. of Earthwork excavation in which over 20.00 lakh cu. m. was hard rock excavation in a very highly abrasive rock, 3.00 Lakh cu. m. of embankment work, 2.61 lakh cu. m. of concrete and 12 Nos of allied structures including single lane and double lane bridges. The work commenced in June, 93 and was completed in Dec., 1996.
